Whether you wantbeaches, shopping, diningout or open countryside, youcan find it here.As my hobby isphotography, I rarely goanywhere without mycamera these days - I recently visited Donna Nook to see the seal pups. People hadcome from all over the country and abroad to see this wonderful sight, hoping tocatch a seal pup being born. I had only been there for half an hour when I caughtsight of a cow rolling around and about to give birth, it was amazing to watch thishappen. I felt so fortunate to witness this remarkable happening. I captured this birthfrom start to finish, it was an experience of a lifetime.I also love to drive into the Lincolnshire Wolds which has breathtaking views; suchas the view from Beelsby over the Humber with the Tetney terminals in view. This is afantastic sight on a beautiful day. There are also so many pretty villages, such as Wold Newton, situated in a prettyvalley with its charming brick and stone cottages, alongside its parish church built ona hill, overlooking the village.A short distance away is the Waithe. Recently whilst passing through this village Isaw lots of Roe Deer running across the fields, a delightful sight to say the least.I think the beauty of Lincolnshire is remarkable and, as your magazine reminds us,there is always something happening right under our noses if we find time to take amoment out of our busy lives and take note… whether it be spring flowers, new bornlambs, swans and their cygnets on the coastal marshes or harvest scenes, right up tothe fantastic colours of autumn and the frosty scenes of winter.Let’s face it our county is never dull. What I love about LincolnshirePHOTO: CAROLE CRAWFORD70 LINCOLNSHIRETODAYStay in touch withLincolnshire TodayWe love to know what you think of Lincolnshire Today – so get in touch with usvia Twitter at @lincstoday or search for us on Facebook.
