The North Sea Observatory will offer nature lovers anew way to experience the stunning Lincolnshirecoast, as well as forming an impressive gateway to theCoastal Country Park. Funded by Lincolnshire County Council, the CoastalCommunities Fund and Arts Council England, the newbuilding will include an art space, café and publictoilets.Though initially slated for a summer opening,ground conditions meant that the ribbon cutting hadto be pushed back.Councillor Colin Davie, Executive Member forEconomic Development said: “There were also someunexpected discoveries such as the historic seadefences and a Second World War bomb that had tobe dealt with.”With things back on track, the observatory isforecast for an autumn opening.
