Megan, a support worker for adults with learning disabilities, said: “I’m blown away that I was chosen. I’m very fashion orientated andfeel that the races are one of the few opportunities left for ladies to get properly dressed up and feel fabulous.“I can’t wait to start my role as the ‘Face of Ladies Days’ and I’m so excited to be able to assist Market Rasen Racecourse.”Lincoln named UK’sbest small city break It will come as no surprise to any yellow belly that Lincoln hasbeen named best small city break in the UK by Which? magazine. The historic city came out top garnering a 92% score across anumber of categories in the magazine’s reader poll. Yet there aren’t thecrowds you’ll find in the more-feted York.”The magazine also listed the Magna Carta as the city’s must-see attraction, as well asbigging up the forthcoming Battle of Lincoln re-enactment at the end of May.Medieval priest unearthedat Thornton AbbeyArchaeologists have uncovered the body of a medieval priest from anelaborate grave at Thornton Abbey near Ulceby.University of Sheffield archaeologists uncovered the rare find at theabbey, which was founded as a monastery in 1139 and went ontobecome one of the richest religious houses in England.The priest’s gravestone was discovered close to the altar of a formerhospital chapel.
