Other heritage sites include Grimsthorpe Castle, which brings together Tudor and Baroque styles and hosts formal gardens and floral displays as well as three species of deer in its 3,000 acres of wood parkland, alongside other mammals. Why not cycle around the estate? Belton House, a Carolean style country house from the 1600s, meanwhile, sits in 1,300 acres with formal gardens, wild ancient wooded parkland, wild Fallow deer, boating lakes, and an outdoor adventure playground. Alternatively, if you have a science buff in the family, take a trip to Woolsthorpe Manor, the 17th century farmhouse, now with a science centre, where Sir Isaac Newton had his run in with an apple. Visit the orchard with the 400-year-old tree from which the fruit fell. These are just a handful of the heritage sites Lincolnshire has to offer. Furthermore, a classic staycation in the county involves a trip to Lincoln, whether that be to see its architecture, cobbled streets, cathedral, and castle, or for some retail therapy. While somewhat gauche, they have nothing on plates recently spotted by Lincolnshire Police. Indeed, one desperate driver had taken to literally drawing on their number plate. In a tweet, Lincolnshire Police’s ARV Unit said: “Fair to say this was not the most sophisticated car cloning attempt we have seen and they seriously need to upgrade their crayon selection. No Documents. Reported and seized.” Needless to say the driver was reported and his car seized because, you know, he had no documents and drew on the reg plate. watercooler 78 LINCOLNSHIRE TODAY LincolnshireToday @lincstoday lincolnshiretoday.net Have we missed anything? Hungry delivery driver tucks into customer’s meal The pandemic has led to a spike in takeaway and food deliveries, but some delivery drivers are taking the mick. One was recently spotted in Boston in a video that shows him apparently eating a customer’s meal down an alley. The peckish delivery man was spotted with what appeared to be an Uber Ears delivery bag at his feet. Although it cannot be verified if what he was chowing down on was part of the customer’s meal, the eyewitness who shot the video stated that the delivery man only gave the customer half of that they ordered. Then, After the delivery man took off on bicycle, he followed and found him in an alley eating the rest of the meal. Again, nothing can be verified, and while it might just be his lunch, it’s rather odd that he’d pick an alley to dine in. In any case, maybe next time opt to pick up your meal yourself.
