This month wespeak with RichardAppleton, Director ofChesterfields ofLincoln.I travel around this county alot, and around the country. When I’m away and askedwhere I come from I often get the reply “Its flat there isn’t it?” Indeed thelong fertile land leading to the Wash is well known and is better regarded asthe Country’s larder. Living in historic Lincoln near our beautiful Cathedraland walking up from the centre, I’m reminded just how hilly this county canbe! For me it is the diversity of the countryside from the rolling hills of theWolds to the bustling seaside and on to the quiet solitude of Gibraltar Point.A recent drive along the coast to my birth town of Grimsby and backthrough the centre of the county to Lincoln reminded me just whatinteresting contrasts Lincolnshire has to offer and why when I have beenaway I am always proud and pleased to come home.LoveLincolnshireStay in touch withLincolnshire TodayWe love to know what you think of Lincolnshire Today – so get in touch with us via Twitter at @lincstoday or search for us on Facebook.Find out what’s coming up in future issues and keep up to date with the latest Lincolnshire news!Don’t miss August’s Lincolnshire Today which, even if the weather doesn’t oblige, will be hot stuff!
