Time tostart thinking about buying presents for everyonethen. It won’t all get done, of course, but it mightmean that come December, a few have beenticked off the list. This month is also a time ofdarker afternoons and colder evenings, something we frequently complain about, butwhich offers the wonderful opportunity to burstout the wood and start a crackling fire. Paradoxically, or perhaps because we English people don’tmake sense, the colder nights also mean more opportunities toget out and have fun. There’s bonfire night on the horizon alongwith pantomimes all across Lincolnshire, bringing out some oftheir best shows in preparation for the festive period. Our November issue is all about enjoying Lincolnshire, with aparticular focus on some of the big events taking place thismonth. Our ‘what’s on’ section is packed full of parties, eventsand pantomimes, while our recipes pages take a step away fromthe usual fair, and instead look at cocktails for the festive season. To help you enjoy the cooler nights comfortably, we highlightsome of the best in winter fashion since, as always, there’s noexcuse for not looking your best.Along with our regular homes and gardens feature – and last-minute advice from our garden specialists, this issue is chockedfull of fantastic ideas and bustling opportunities.
