Make enquires. Ask questions. Don’t be fobbed off with feeble excuses nor waste your time talking to those who do not have the necessary information to hand. TaurusApr 21 - May 21 You have a strong sense of duty to others but are often plagued with doubts about your own capabilities. A new romance may start, or an unsatisfactory run of bad romances may come to an end. Someone at work may try to force your hand regarding a matter of principles. GeminiMay 22 - June 21 Although you love to be in the middle of all the action, recently there may have been one too many demands made upon you and your time. LeoJul 24 - Aug 23 Fate is working in your favour. A wrong turning, an overheard conversation or a chance meeting will ensure that you are in the right place at precisely the right time. The only danger is that you will throw off all self-restraint and start spending money like water. VirgoAug 24 - Sep 23 Lunch or dinner with a friend offers a little light relief from the stresses of everyday events. Romance is in the air for those who are looking for a soul mate. Scrutinise legal papers before signing. Make sure everything is in order so as to avoid a costly mistake. A house move could soon be on the cards. LibraSep 24 - Oct 23 Someone you once saw as being staid and boring may surprise you with an impromptu invitation and a most enjoyable date, filled with unexpected fun and laughter that could lead to a change of direction. ScorpioOct 24 - Nov 22 Heaven help anyone who tries to use you for their own ends because they will be dealt with severely. Someone will show his or her true colours and whereas initially you will feel upset and let down, there will be a silver cloud in the grey lining that works to your advantage. Sagittarius Nov 23 - Dec 21 This is a special time for looking after people, being charitable and generally helping others. Your empathy levels will be unusually high making you the ideal shoulder for others to cry on. Romance and love will come dancing onto your stage once you stop being so needy. Do not make the fatal mistake of settling for second best. AquariusJan 21 - Feb 19 Feelings of guilt or worry about being unable to maintain your standards will be swept away by loved ones showing you their appreciation and recognition of what you are trying to achieve. Sounds delicious. Not everyone chooses to eat sausages in this form however, and no, Lincolnshire Today is not referring to making a sarnie or other obvious meal. A Boston man has caught the attention of the media with his preferred method of consuming the meat - raw - after his partner uploaded a video of his habit to TikTok. That’s right, Peter’s preference is uncooked sausages, which he has been eating as a snack for 50 years, sucking the meat out of the skin. It seems a miracle that he hasn’t endured some sort of food poisoning, though apparently he wouldn’t encourage others to do the same, and only eats raw sausages if they are from the local butcher, where the supply chain is short. watercooler 82 LINCOLNSHIRE TODAY LincolnshireToday @lincstoday lincolnshiretoday.net Have we missed anything? Here’s a selection of local stories that have made us raise an eyebrow and crack a smile this month. Not just flying rats Speaking of pigeons, a Louth local has been showcased for her beloved pets, on whom she apparently spends £4,000 a year. Yes, dear reader, you are understanding this correctly, pigeons can be pets and can seemingly be pretty costly! The rescue animals, found abandoned as chicks, have their own adapted bedroom, a wardrobe full of outfits, toys, and a pram for walks. It may appear bizarre to some, but it turns out pigeons are actually quite loving, with the woman stating that they enjoy sitting on her shoulder and sunbathing. Perhaps they aren’t just flying rats after all. By the © Shutterstock/Mabeline72 © Shutterstock/Elena Zajchikova © Shutterstock/PopTika The pigeon problem Ah…pigeon poo. It may not be something you think of regularly but it has become quite the problem in Spalding, so much so to become a hot topic at a recent Spalding Town Forum virtual meeting, with councillors agreeing that something must be done about the “offensive” excrement! Councillor Christine Lawton noted that while bunting is being put up in shops, improving the town centre, “you can’t see it for the pigeon mess.” Though the authority has been looking into bringing in a private contractor to deal with areas plagued by pigeon poo, it noted that more needed to be done to handle the “repeat offenders.” It might sound like tiny handcuffs are about to be placed on the birds, but in fact this will not be the case, rather birds of prey are being considered to act as the town’s pigeon police. Look out for officer sparrowhawk and falcon as they collect their badges and batons. 82.qxp_Layout 1 15/10/2021 08:10 Page 1CHARTERED CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANTS To find out how to get your business on the up visit www.dextersharpe.co.uk Offices in Boston, Bourne, Horncastle, Lincoln, Louth, Skegness & Spilsby We pride ourselves on providing a pro-active, friendly and accessible service.
