There’s no greater proof ofthis than with the generosity and support givento the Lindsey Lodge Hospice. Already this year,we’ve covered stories that could warm thecockles of the hardiest of souls, but one inparticularly stood out. Dubbed ‘The Big Bed Push’, the nine mileevent saw 30 friends and members of the Hillfamily push a retro bed through the streets ofScunthorpe in loving memory of relatives thathad passed away. The bed, which dates back tothe 1930’s and bought off eBay, was putthrough its paces over a nine mile route. Organiser Clare explained: “Losing twoparents in 14 weeks was obviously a difficulttime but we wanted to do something positiveand give back to the hospice for their kindnessand compassion that they had shown our mumand the family.” Keep an eye out for more stories online. With some of the most striking rural landscapes, our county is abundant withpicturesque views for photographers to capture.
