Send your rib-ticklers to m.fisher@blmgroup.co.uk By the As the property market becomes even more inaccessible to many, a bizarre building in Lincolnshire is offering a chance to get on the ladder. A nuclear bunker built during the cold war and still in its original condition (including body bags, gas masks and even a red telephone box) has hit the market for £25,000. The property was constructed in the late 1950s in Louth, designed to provide protection for three observers to survive a nuclear attack, with food and water provided for fourteen days. Within this time, they were expected to report on any nuclear bursts and report on the fall out of an attack. Jim Demitriou, national valuer at SDL Property Auctions, said: “It’s a great property for people looking for something off-grid or to get away from it all.” © stock.adobe.com/fewerton In an odd piece of research, a new study has found the University of Lincoln to be the UK’s 8th most haunted university, with a spooky score of 7.38/10! TheKnowledgeAcademy analysed the number of cemeteries, gravestones, listed buildings (and how long they’ve been listed), as well as the number of paranormal reports within 2 miles of university campuses for the study. With nearly 90,000 gravestones nearby and 23 counts of paranormal activity, the University of Lincoln is also situated just one mile away from the medieval Lincoln Castle, famously thought to be inhabited by the ghosts of a horse and rider associated with John Knox—a former local lord who was sentenced to hanging for murder. © stock.adobe.com/Nikon'as waterc ler 74.qxp_Layout 1 15/11/2022 09:42 Page 1Operating from our 46 acre site in Boston, Lincolnshire, we have over 100 years experience providing creosoted timber poles, railway sleepers, gates and fencing.
