Your popularity is increasing with both friends and newcomers and you can afford to be as selective as you need to be as to whom you choose to spend your time with. Last minute travel arrangements may have to suddenly be changed yet again. Taurus Apr 21 - May 21 As you begin putting your life and affairs in order, something most unexpected could result in costing you a lot of money if a solution isn’t found quickly. Doing something creative and fun will definitely put a swing in your step, for a short time that is. Your mind is on other things. Gemini May 22 - June 21 People often tend to turn to you for advice because they know you speak with life experience and a lot of common sense. Romantically, keep your plans under wraps and be aware of the dangers of wearing trusting the wrong person with delicate information. Cancer Jun 22 - Jul 23 Taking a few days off and distancing yourself from the hum drum of everyday life will act as an excellent tonic. During recent times you’ve had plenty of opportunity to do some very deep thinking about your current status and which direction you can see yourself going in next. Leo Jul 24 - Aug 23 You always rise to a challenge and it looks like a triangle of love could develop which is bound to cause complications. Someone has a hidden agenda up their sleeve because they may be trying to fool you. Try to maintain your contacts with helpful people. Virgo Aug 24 - Sep 23 You will soon be looking and feeling much better because there is a strong indication that things will soon begin to move forwards in a positive direction. Finding and maintaining relationships is never an easy task and trying to meet someone who compliments you will prove most challenging. Libra Sep 24 - Oct 23 You may feel that life has become a tad tedious and predictable, but the subject of romance will be very high on the agenda. You are ready to pour time, money and effort into making a relationship or project work to your advantage, but that does not mean that you have to share your secrets with the rest of the world. Scorpio Oct 24 - Nov 22 By always listening to your inner voice and gut instincts, you will find the strength to refuse certain people their demands upon your time. If you have noticed, some people can be very think skinned and no matter how often you fob them off, they don’t take the hint and come crawling back in the hope that you will meet their requirements. Sagittarius Nov 23 - Dec 21 Not everyone is honest, upfront and forthright and so it’s important that you accept that no matter how hard you may try, some people are simply not trustworthy. The flirtatious side of you may have casually given out misleading signals and now have some explaining to do. Astrology by Linda Lancashire 0776 4466381 www.lindalancashire.co.uk teresastanley1@btinternet.co.uk Capricorn Dec 22 - Jan 20 In the office you are keen to launch new projects and an interesting work or business offer indicates that it’s all systems go once you iron out all the teething problems and have taken professional advice where the small print is concerned. Aquarius Jan 21 - Feb 19 Taking financial risks without doing any background research is not recommended, so rather than go rushing into anything, take a back seat and just wait to see what other people are doing first. A romantic interlude with your partner will provide you both with some wonderful memories for the future. Pisces Feb 20 - Mar 20 Seek independent advice for critical matters rather than throw caution to the wind in the home that a last-minute miracle may suddenly take place. Untangling a web of deceit which has been going on for some time now will cause you to start rethinking your future plans and the big question is, who will you include or invite to join you on your next big adventure? That is until someone has to clean up all the mess left behind. Travelodge have recently revealed a list of the top ten strangest items that travellers left in their hotel rooms last year. Needless to say, there’s some pretty strange stuff here including two live alpacas named Ant and Dec. Also included on the list was a five-foot unicorn made from flowers; an urn filled with a father’s ashes, deeds to a shop and a 65-year-old good luck Bonsai tree. No, we’re not making this up. Another month has passed us by so that means another edition of our By the watercooler series where we share some of the funniest news stories to pass this way. The so-so smoking ban for Lincolnshire hospitals Despite the health risks surrounding smoking, it took until January 2020 for the dirty destructive habit to finally be banned at all Lincolnshire hospitals. Previous prevention methods at the designated smoking areas at hospitals across the county included posters and creepy recordings of kids neither of which made much of a difference. Though a ban is now in place, those caught sparking up won’t be obstructed, rather they will be advised about the new policy and be politely asked not to smoke on hospital grounds. A fine might work better, but hey-ho. E-cigarettes and vaping will still be permitted outside hospitals, so it’s a soft ban if ever there was one. © Shutterstock/fotobook © Shutterstock/Stock-Asso © Shutterstock/Ihor Nebesnyi Fashion conscious Peaky Blinder fans a boon to Lincoln retailer Even if you’ve never seen an episode of Brummy crime drama Peaky Blinders, chances are you’ll have heard of it. An unlikely side effect is that it’s become a touchstone for men’s fashion with countless blokes adopting a tweed suit and peaked cap. It’s been a boon for Lincoln-based menswear designer and retailer, Coneys, who has recently opened a new store near its existing site to sell Peaky Blinders style suits made by Cavani. The next time you see a group of men with the sides of their heads shaved sporting tweed suits, don’t worry – they’re not gangsters, just fashion conscious.
