Ecological worries, the improved line-upof electric and hybrid cars and anexplosion of public charging points, hasseen the hunger for unconventionally-powered cars increase twofold (from sixper cent to 12 per cent). What’s more, thenumber of motorists unsure about whatkind of fuel to go for increased to 19 percent in 2016, from 13 per cent in 2014.The AA-Populus survey, which polled17,979 AA members on their car buyingobjectives, shows that an additional 3.6million electric cars, plug-in hybrid andhybrid vehicles could be on our roads in afew years’ time.But all is not lost if you’re a diesel-head.That’s because, despite the findings by theAA, car buyers registered nearly a quarterof a million new diesel powered cars inthe UK this March.
