When you want someone or something, you refuse to stop chasing until you get it. You may even do something deliberately to attract attention just to be sure that everyone is in your life and taking notice. Taurus Apr 21 - May 21 Someone may try to force you to put your cards on the table, but you will find ways of avoiding answering poignant questions. It’s a good time to make a big splash treating yourself to a massive purchase, something that you have always wanted. Gemini May 22 - June 21 There is no need for you to rush or push anything because what is meant for you will not go past you. Leo Jul 24 - Aug 23 You may be privy to some important information, the problem is, do you ‘spill’ or do you keep quiet? Avoid getting lulled into a false sense of security. Someone’s mask will slip and you will see the truth about someone who has kept their secrets well hidden. Virgo Aug 24 - Sep 23 It can take years to discover ourselves but only one thing matters. Love is our greatest wealth. Giving someone your time is the most precious gift of all. It does not cost money, it just requires you to reorganise your busy schedule and reprioritise. Libra Sep 24 - Oct 23 Life takes an upward swing causing you to be exceptionally busy. Always be mindful of people who won’t look you in the eye. Scorpio Oct 24 - Nov 22 It’s time to open the windows and let some fresh air into your thinking. With a much- welcomed boost of energy, you will be in the mood to tackle anything or anyone that insists on standing in your way. Your love life will be blessed, and you will probably receive as much affection and support as you are happy to give. Aquarius Jan 21 - Feb 19 Money will be a major factor, with a few tidy sums being discussed and dealt with. Pisces Feb 20 - Mar 20 You may have to put a few plans on ‘hold’ until you are in a stronger position to fulfil your ambitions, but as long as you remember that every situation is temporary and that nothing lasts forever. Not usually breaking records. But the Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary in Huttoft thinks one of its asses might be breaking the world- record for tallest donkeys in a few years’ time. At only five-years-old Derrick is already 5ft 7in (or over 16.6 Hands High), currently an inch off the world record. But volunteer Ross Clarke thinks Derrick will smash the record with a few years of growth still ahead of him. The current record is held by Romulus over in Texas. Both specimens are American Mammoth Jackstocks which were originally crossbred with horses for heavy work. Beasts of burden indeed. 114 LINCOLNSHIRE TODAY Stay in touch with Lincolnshire Today We love to know what you think of Lincolnshire Today – so get in touch with us via Twitter at @lincstoday or search for us on Facebook. Send your rib-ticklers to d.cuthbert@blmgroup.co.uk Couple sell everything, pull kids out of school for worldwide trip The rigors of modern life mean most of us don’t earn as much as we’d like or get to spend enough time with loved ones. Fed up with this, a Lincoln couple decided to take a leap of faith, quitting their jobs, taking their two kids out of school and selling all their worldly possession to embark on an around the world trip. In just a few months’ time, Scott and Michelle Ballard will set off in a motorhome around the UK and then the rest of Europe, taking in the sights, making precious memories and spending quality family time together. It might sound extreme, but after the couple realised their wage wasn’t enough to look after a family of four and they were all rarely together, it seemed like the right thing to do. It’s not as reckless as it sounds with the couple continuing to work with companies while travelling and setting up a full virtual marketing agency. Best of luck brave travellers. Lincolnshire donkey eyeing world record Lincoln approves city’s first cat café Far from a passing fad, it seems as though cat cafés are here to stay. Now plans have been approved for Coffee Cats Lincoln at Silver Street, the first of its kind in the city. With an emphasis on animal welfare, the new facility will allow cats to live in luxury with ample space to climb, play and rest. There’ll also be a separate space where cats can get a break for all that petting. It’ll be a few months before the café opens with plenty of prep work still to be done, but no doubt it’ll be a hit with locals. Because what’s better that a cat’s behind in your face when you’re trying to enjoy a latte and a sarnie? © Shutterstock/welcomia By the watercooler Another month has passed us by so that means another edition of our By the watercooler series where we share some of the funniest news stories to pass this way. © Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary © Shutterstock/Africa Studio 114.qxp_Layout 1 22/05/2019 10:20 Page 1If you want to be bale ready call 01673 898001 #thecavalryiscoming YOUR HOME IS YOUR CASTLE YOUR CASTLE IS CONNECTED IT’S TIME YOU HAD SOME ARMOUR THE CAVALRY IS COMING 01 07 2019 115.qxp_Layout 1 22/05/2019 10:18 Page 1Stores in Grantham, Boston & Scunthorpe Visit Downtown Superstore & Garden Centre in Grantham today You can get it all - from A to Z!
