We got a sneakpreview ahead of their opening weekend and explored threeunique homes, the five-bedroom Wilton, the three-bed Croftonand the smaller, but still three-bed Denford. All three homes are perfectly appointed and do not sufferfrom that bland, sterile look that often comes with new-builds.Each home has its own distinct personality and is built with acertain buyer in mind. The Wilton, for example, would make a perfect familyhome for a larger family with a need for space. Eachroom offers oodles of space, with room for relaxingand working too. A spare room towards the frontof the show home we explore is made out to be aspacious office and we can imagine inspirationstriking here. The master bedroom is situated onthe second floor with some incredible built-inwardrobes that almost form a dressing room ofsorts, which is perfect for those who have largecollections they like to go through before they head outfor a night on the tiles.Elsewhere there’s a family bathroom and the other fourbedrooms could well be used for other functions too, perhaps agames room or a study area for older children. The rooms onthe second floor for example face each other, so could be aprivate, linked area for those who want their privacy. In the three-bedroom Crofton, a smaller family who want a18 Buildinga futurein BourneWe’re often accused of favouring readers’homes, so this month thought we’d redress thebalance and look at an offering from one ofLincolnshire’s leading developers. The lounge anddining room are inopen plan settings sorelaxing andentertaining is trulypossible016-019:Layout 1 13/6/14 09:04 Page 1LINCOLNSHIRETODAY17016-019:Layout 1 13/6/14 09:04 Page 218 LINCOLNSHIRETODAYHOMESlarger space for growing children could well be the perfectbuyer. With a master bedroom sitting alone on a secondfloor, it’s a haven for parents to escape from the kids if theyfeel the need, but also has a rather spacious lounge anddining area that faces onto a sizeable garden. The Denford, by comparison, is more of a starter home orfor those who are wishing to get their first foot on thehousing ladder. By no means small, it’s a three-bedroomhouse that feels like a home as soon as you step through thedoor. The lounge and dining room are in open plan settingsso relaxing and entertaining is truly possible. Upstairs amaster bedroom holds an ensuite and there’s a spacioussecond bedroom and a third bedroom that would work eitheras a place to work from home or to house a nursery.Whichever home attracts your attention, Bourne seems tobe an upcoming and interesting place to live. With so muchon its doorstep and with local amenities planned for thishuge development including pubs, shops and schools as wellas a community centre, it could be a place to really settle. For more information, contact Taylor Wimpey on 01778300617 or visit www.taylorwimpey.co.uk016-019:Layout 1 13/6/14 09:04 Page 3LINCOLNSHIRETODAY19HOMESHeard it on theGrapevine?Send us details of yourforthcoming events or anyinteresting newsLincolnshire Today, Armstrong House, Armstrong Street,Grimsby, N E Lincs DN31 2QE or email lincs-today@blmgroup.co.uk www.lincolnshiretoday.netWeaver Flooring & InteriorsFlooring SpecialistsKarndean Showroom IExtensive Carpet RangeNaturals I Laminates IEngineered WoodSolid Wood IRugsIn Stock– Bleach Cleanable Stainfree Heavy domesc Carpet, 6 colours - £12.99 sqmLarge Selecon of quality remnants and vinyl all atlow pricesT: 01636 701193E: info@weaver-flooring.co.ukwww.weaver-flooring.co.uk7 BargateINewarkING24 1ESNOW OPEN SUNDAY 10am - 3pmFull range of flooring and prices tosuit all, including:• Ulster • Brockway • Cavalier • Adams • Penthouse • Goodacres and many moreSpecialists in Karndean Flooring104 Eastgate, Louth LN11 9AATel: (01507) 606574T.
