On the Lincolnshire Today websitewe’ve been following the lives of the Baronswith gusto. But after a successful auction, theBarons have gone their separate ways. The auction raised a total of £167,000 bonusfor the charity, after the 25 colourful Baronsculptures were sold off to the highest bidders.Lincoln BIG produced the Trail in collaborationwith Wild in Art and The Trussel Trust. Everybody has their favourite Baron, butthose which raised the most money wereBomber Baron, which went for £11,000 andRed Arrows Baron which sold for £10,200. Lincoln residents and visors alike hadclamoured for the Trail to stay in place, soeveryone was keen to see if any of the Baronsmight actually remain in the city. Fortunately, plenty of local businesses have snapped up aBaron for themselves. It’s a fond farewell to the Barons who havecaptivated residents and tourists over thesummer months. Keep an eye out for more stories online.
