Send your rib-ticklersto d.cuthbert@blmgroup.co.uk© Jane HobsonLoveLincolnshireFor our latest I Love Lincolnshire, we chatted withcomedian and political satirist Mark Thomas.I once did a show called The Manifesto whereaudiences suggested policies to change the world andI promised that I would try and work to make some ofthose policies become reality. One policy voted through was; ‘If MPs have hadexcessive expenses payments, then we should be ableto use their houses / tennis courts etc as we have paidfor them’I remember that year doing a show at the LincolnDrill Hall, finding out that Douglas Hogg’s house wasnearby. So I drove out with a friend, ever so slightlytrespassed, and swam in his moat that had beencleaned at the publics’ expense. I’m grateful that no one saw my near-naked formrunning across his lawn to gain entry to said moat, andI have to say that, despite three showers before thatshow that evening at the Drill Hall, I stank of moatjuice. All I can say is if that was a clean moat, I wouldn’twant to see a dirty one. Mark plays the Drill Hall on 15 November. 86_Layout 1 18/10/2017 09:38 Page 1The Priory Academy LSSTRobert de Cheney Boarding House is situated in the grounds of ThePriory Academy LSST, a top-performing State school in Lincoln.
